Tourism 2012

The London 2012 Olympic Games run from 27 July - 12 August 2012, and the Paralympic Games run from 29 August - 9 September 2012.

Hampshire is an ideal base for visiting the Games due to its proximity to London, Weymouth and Eton Dorney, its excellent transport links and wide range of quality assured accommodation.

2012 will also see the opening of the £35m Mary Rose Museum at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the new £15m Sea City Museum in Southampton, with a permanent exhibition focussing on the Titanic which sailed from the city on 10 April 1912.
