Adult Services Department - Social Care for Adults

People may need social care or support during a crisis, because of their age, long term ill health or disability, or because they are caring for others. Most of the support we give is to help people maintain their independence, so that they can continue to live in their own homes.

Home care
- Do you need help around the home?
Residential & nursing care
- Are you finding it difficult to cope at home?
Carers & family support
- Do you care for a member of your family or a friend on a regular basis?

Physical disabilities
- Do you have a physical disability and need some help?
Learning disabilities
- Do you have a learning disability and need some help?
Mental health
- Are you suffering with anxiety or depression?

Assessment
- Having problems? We may be able to suggest ways in which you might get help.
Sight loss
- Are you having problems with your sight?
Hearing loss
- Are you having problems hearing?
- Do you use British Sign Language?

Disability registration
- To be registered as disabled you need to have a permanent and substantial disability.
Adult protection
- What to do if you think someone is being abused or harassed.
Neighbouring authorities
- Do you live outside Hampshire?
