Independence and Choice Policy consultation

When will Adult Services start using the policy?

An initial review of the policy will take place by April 2010, to take account the results of the consultation as well as any changes in legislation and national guidance. Learning from the implementation of Self Directed Support in Hampshire will also be taken into account.  

The policy will be launched in the spring of 2010 and thereafter the policy will be reviewed annually.

Implementation of this policy will be supported by a programme of training which will be delivered to staff in 2010.
