The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is a Government funded organisation who collect and analyse data. These tables provide a wide range of demographic statistics and national based population projections. to compare the countries, regions and local authority areas. | |
A census is a count of all people and households in the country. This links is to the latest 2011 UK national census and provides population statistics from a national to neighbourhood level for government, local authorities, business and communities | |
The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) Statistical Summary brings together key National Statistics on DWP administered benefits, some employment programmes and JSA (Jobseeker's Allowance) sanctions and vacancies | |
The Government are opening up data for reuse and have developed a website to allow more people outside of government to access public data. |
