Care services
Adult Services aims to help people continue to live in their own homes as independently as possible, whatever their disability or age.
We can offer information and advice to everyone about the range of social care services available and can provide free assessments of the care and support that people need.
Assessment - what help do you need?
You need to contact us to arrange an assessment of your needs. If it shows that you need support, the department will work with you to arrange services. If you don’t qualify for our services we can tell you about other organisations that can provide support.
Registering as disabled
Registering as disabled may entitle you to some concessions and benefits, for example, reduced travel costs on buses and trains.
