Disability registration

If you register as disabled your details will be stored on a confidential database and you will be given a small yellow card as proof of your registration. It will not cost you any money to register.

How do I become registered?

  • You will need to complete an application form relevant to your specific category and could be registered under more than one

What are the benefits of being registered?

  • Registration can be a pathway for easier access to certain benefits and concessions
  • In certain instances you may be able to reclaim VAT on specific disability equipment

Disability registration card

This card is a quick and easy way of proving that the holder has a significant disability and needs to use facilities provided for disabled people.

Being registered as disabled is voluntary and is not a requirement for Adult Services eligibility, nor does registration mean that you will be eligible for Adult Services support.
