Safeguarding adults

Protecting people from abuse

Practitioners

A multi-agency approach means we work together, as practitioners, to help keep people safe from being abused.

If you think someone is being abused, don’t assume that someone else is doing something about it.

You must do the following:
  • In an emergency call 999 (i.e. a serious incident, someone is in need of medical attention or a crime may have occurred)
  • Contact your manager
  • You or your manager must report your concerns to Adult Services IMMEDIATELY
