The Proud2B groups have stopped and no longer meet as such but former members are now running two other groups

Members of the Basingstoke group have formed a weekly Badminton group which meets on a Thursday at the URC Hall Members of the New forest group still meet and the group is now called Next Steps

3 groups were set up to talk about things that are important

  • One in Fareham at the Ashcroft Centre,Osborn Rd, Fareham, PO16 7DX
  • One in Basingstoke in the Worting Room, URC Church Hall, London Street
  • One is in the new Forest and members are young people from the travelling community

    The groups were about finding out about each others cultures and language.

    Members of the group chose their favourite thing about their culture to enjoy and share with others.

     

  • enjoying music

    This was things like music, films or food.

     

  • emld women

    We hoped that people who joined the group felt able to talk about their culture and be proud of it.

     

  • meeting

    The group tried to help other projects by working with the Hampshire Learning Disability Partnership Board.
