Strong links with the Armed Forces: Helping forces personnel return to civilian life
Over the past 18 months, Hampshire County Council has been working closely with the Ministry of Defence, the three Armed Forces, local authorities, health agencies and charities to reduce any disadvantage service personnel may face when moving from one posting to another or from military to civilian life

Bid for funds to support your Community Covenant Project
The first bidding round is now closed. And we will be submitting endorsed bids to the Ministry of Defence by 30th September. As soon as we are advised of the outcome of this first round of bids we will be in touch with all who have put forward proposals.
We await the submission deadlines for the next rounds which are expected in December 2011 and March 2012 and encourage community groups and organisations to continue to consider what they would wish to develop and seek funding for.

Learning and Networking event hosted by Hampshire County Council
Over 100 delegates attended this event with presentations from The Veterans Advisory & Pensions Committee. The Army Welfare Service, Hampshire County Council, NHS, RAF, SPVA and the Royal Navy

Employment Fair
The first Armed Services Employment Fair in Hampshire took place on Monday 14 March 2011 at FIVE in Farnborough. The event, organised by the Career Transition Partnership with the support and sponsorship of Hampshire County Council attracted over 1500 personnel and 100 employers including BAE Systems and 3663 catering.
