With Computer skills you can:
shop and book tickets and holidays online, keep in touch with friends and relatives, catch up on TV or radio programmes, store your digital photos, access information from websites, write letters, research your family's history
Our Centres are for anyone over the age of 50 who has missed out on learning how to use a computer. We also teach people who have a little knowledge but want to learn more. We'll ask you how much or how little you know; what you want to know; and then structure the course around you. The Centres are part of Hampshire County Council's adult learning provision and were rated of "exceptionally high quality and exceptionally good" by inspectors from the Adult Learning Directorate.
We offer:
- an introduction to the basics of using a computer
- one-to-one tuition with an experienced volunteer tutor
- one session per week
- the chance to learn at your own pace
- a relaxed environment where you can make new friends
-
The opportunity to find out how to
- search the internet
- send and receive emails
- use digital photography
- and much more
We ask for a donation per session of at least £4 to help cover our costs and a phone call if you cannot attend so that we can offer the session to someone else.
