Pre-retirement seminars

Age Concern Hampshire has been running pre-retirement seminars since January 2001, targeted at employers wishing to support employees leading up to retirement.

Key themes covered are:

Financial planning, pensions, benefits, wills, trusts, estate planning, healthy lifestyle, safety and security, Trading Standards, the opportunities and challenges of retirement and planning for the future

Benefits to the Employee

A positive approach to the future, help with financial issues, how to plan a healthy lifestyle, advice on legal planning for retirement, how to be safe and secure, reassurance on the change in lifestyle, a framework to define long and short term priorities, planning leisure time

Benefits to the Employer

The opportunity for employees to have access to impartial, professional advice, providing support to existing personnel services, maintaining the expectations of a caring company, enhancing staff retention by maintaining good employee relations, follow up service after retirement

The cost for the 2 day seminar for a single person is £235 and for a couple £385.  This cost includes lunch and all refreshments during the 2 days.   In-house seminars can also be provided for companies at a cost of £1650.  The company would provide the venue and the catering.
