Business Partnership Grant
Applying for a Business Partnership Grant
Please ensure you read these notes carefully before applying for a Business Partnership Grant, they include both useful and important information.
The Arts Service is committed to maintaining its support for local arts activity through a variety of ways, including grant giving. The Business Partnership grant scheme match funds sponsorship from local businesses who have not supported a Business Partnership application before.
We can match fund business sponsorship up to £500. The sponsorship you are receiving must be monetary, we can not match fund any in kind sponsorship, e.g. free/subsidised marketing. We can accept up to three Business Partnership requests from your organisation in one financial year but they must all be for different business sponsors. Match funding must be a minimum of £200 per business.
NB Our definition of sponsorship includes financial support in return for promotion of the business alongside the activity or donations to the event as part of Corporate Social Responsibility in the community. If in doubt please contact the Arts Resources Administrator, tel 01962 846966.
We fund a wide range of arts activities and events such as, festivals, exhibitions and workshops which must meet the following criteria.
- the event/activity must be of artistic merit
- the event/activity must directly benefit Hampshire residents
- the activity must contain a community focus
- an organisation (not an individual) that is non-profit making
- schools – who are providing arts activities in addition to the curriculum
- Other Hampshire County Council departments applying for a project that is separate from their usual programme of activity
Before making an application to the scheme, we ask that you first discuss your proposal with the Arts Resources Administrator to provide a basic overview of the activity/event you intend to apply for.
