Arts in Hampshire
The arts are thriving in Hampshire, with a rich variety of theatres, galleries, arts centres, concert halls and more unusual venues providing high quality professional arts performances, exhibitions, workshops, classes and talks across the county. Hampshire is home to a strong community of musicians, actors, film makers, writers, artists and crafts people and boasts a large collection of community based arts organisations and organisations working to improve their communities through the arts.

Open Studios
Open Studios is an initiative which was developed through a partnership between local councils and Arts Council South East as a way of bringing information together on all open studio events taking place in and across the Hampshire map and the Isle of Wight.
Making Space for crafts in Hampshire
Making Space is a new purpose built crafts facility in Havant, providing studios available for rent to professional makers and great teaching spaces allowing the whole community to get involved in crafts. The centre also runs a varied and exciting workshop programme for all ages and abilities, including Family Mosaics, Space Age Ceramics and for the adults Jewellery Making and Stone Carving.
Active Hearts - Events in Residential homes
'Activehearts' is a joint initiative between Recreation and Heritage and Adult Services which delivers quality arts activities and performances into Council residential and nursing homes across the county. Over 1,000 events are programmed annually which include music therapy, arts and crafts, exercise, live music and special projects. Research suggests the scheme assists in combating isolation and depression, helps build confidence and generally improves the mental and physical well being of the residents.

What's on is a free service available to all event organisers in central southern England to publicise events, music, walks, lectures and dances around Hampshire.
