Arts Centre Showcase

2011 was one of the best years yet for the programme of arts events and activities on offer at our three Arts Centre’s based at Fareham, New Milton and Aldershot. We asked them to select their highlights to share and showcase the wide range of arts on offer for people in Hampshire.

Ashcroft Arts Centre - Fareham

Highlights for the Ashcroft in 2011 included working with five local schools on the Heritage Film Festival, running the Dance Summer School with StopGAP Dance Company, and enhancing the community in a way only Ashcroft could, with the incredible Broadlaw Mosaic Project. Read more

Forest Arts Centre - New Milton

2011 was the year Forest was paid a visit by rapper Tinchy Stryder, hundreds of people attended the fourth annual Contemporary Jewellery Fair, and high achieving creative youngsters received their coveted Bronze Arts Awards. Read more

West End Centre - Aldershot

Not to be outdone by it’s creative counterparts, the Westy triumphed in 2011 with it’s best ever Summer Westival (featuring real grass indoors!), an outstanding comedy line up including famous faces such Chris Addison and Ross Noble, and some fantastic community development. Read more
