Camping at Basingstoke Canal Centre

Our picturesque campsite with a waterfront setting is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Basingstoke Canal and local area.

Toilets and shower facilities are provided along with water points, waste disposal and a new dish washing area. We also have a token-operated power-point to charge your mobile or power your hairdryer.

The Campsite is open throughout the year although you will need to book in advance. Please note that Friday and Saturday nights are very popular.

To book, tel 01252 370073. When booking we will need to take a non-refundable deposit that is equal to the first nights stay on site. This can be done over the phone via debit/credit card.

Group bookings of 3+ tents will be subject to full pre-payment on booking.

Unfortunately, we cannot supply electric hook-up. Quiet generators are permitted for use from 9am to 8.30pm.

All bookings for weekends are to be made by 3pm on Friday.

• The Canal Centre aims to provide a secure site for its visitors so a barrier is used to restrict access to the campsite. When you arrive please bring proof of address with you and a along with a form of photographic ID, you are also required to provide a £30.00.00 camping deposit (Cash or Card details only) for each unit within a booking(s). You will be given a key for the barrier, a permit for the campsite and code shower facilities. You are to return the Key and the permit on the day of departure by 12pm. Failure to do so may result in a loss of the £30 Camping deposit.

• the registration form (as required by law).
• The booking deposit will be the equivalent to one nights stay, and is non refundable. The deposit will pay for your first nights stay upon arrival. Please note that the BCA reserve the right to cancel the
• booking, in which case a full refund will be offered.
• To collect your key and code please visit the Canal Centre Reception between the hours of 12.30pm and 4.30pm. The Reception is closed at weekends between October & April so codes will need to be collected mid week. Or alternately call the Office on 01252 370073. Any late arrivals (after 16:30) will have the full stay charged prior to arrival.
• Group bookings of 3+ units will have to pre-pay the full stay when booking. The booking deposit will be non-refundable (per unit), however the balance will be refunded in the event of cancellation.
• Groups under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 25yrs+
• Campfires/Bonfires are not permitted on site. Any evidence of a campfire/bonfire or scorch marks will result in a loss of the £30.00 deposit.
• Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
• Gazebo’s are not to be used as accommodation.
• There should be 4 metre gap between all camping units.
• All litter is to be cleared away (in sealed bags) and placed inside the bins provided, failure to do so will result in the loss of the £30 deposit.
• All losses or damages shall be the responsibility of the campsite user.
• Anti social behaviour will result in a loss of the £30 deposit and exclusion from the Campsite. Further police action may be taken.
• The Codes, the key and the permit are the responsibility of the hirer and shall not be passed on to another individual.
• Please note the keypad for the toilet is in use when the Centre is closed, and is for authorised users only (Campers, Function Room users, Canoe Club and Boaters). The toilets are available for all Visitors during Centre opening hours.
• Groups (not necessarily under the same name) will loose the £30 deposit for each unit if these terms and conditions are breached (i.e. a group of five units will loose £150 if any one unit or occupant breaches the terms and conditions).
• Any damages that cost the Canal Authority more than £30.00 will be charged direct to the camper/booker.
