The Government's Best Value initiative provided a catalyst for improving public services and managing local authority performance. Since its introduction in 1999 we have broadened our approach into our Performance Management Framework.

Certain aspects of Best Value remain as a statutory duty and these web pages show you how Hampshire County Council:

Creates the annual performance plan
Establishes its corporate review programme
Reports progress with corporate reviews
Reports progress against national performance indicators.
