Strength and Balance classes

Hampshire’s Steady and Strong classes are run by instructors specially qualified to teach exercises proven to reduce the chances of falling. Classes are based around strength and balance exercises. The Chief Medical Officer recommends older adults should do strength exercises on two or more days a week and older adults at risk of falls should do exercises to improve balance and co-ordination on at least two days a week.
