Hampshire Biodiversity Partnership

The Hampshire Biodiversity Partnership aims to raise awareness of Hampshire's natural environment and increase commitment to its conservation.
The Partnership includes local authorities, Government agencies and voluntary bodies working together to conserve and enhance nature in Hampshire. The County Council co-ordinates the work of the Partnership.
The Biodiversity Action Plan for Hampshire identifies priority issues for conservation and sets a comprehensive agenda for all biodiversity partners. The Plan includes a 10 year strategic plan and almost 40 individual action plans. These have been prepared to guide action for Hampshire’s priority habitats and species, and for topics such as water, urban areas and education and awareness.
The Hampshire biodiversity programme is set within the context of a national biodiversity planning process and international obligations to conserve biodiversity. The work of the County Council is fundamental to the delivery of a wide range of objectives and targets outlined in the Biodiversity Action Plan for Hampshire.
