Can I use my badge abroad?

Travelling in the European Union (EU)

The Blue Badge design is now standard across the EU and you are entitled to the local concessions which apply in each member state. Please note that these do vary from country to country. There is a leaflet available online or you can get a copy by contacting the Blue Badge Unit.

Travelling outside the EU

The arrangements that apply in countries outside of the EU, such as the USA, Australia and Canada are available online on the Department for Transport website.

Can a visitor from a non EU country use their badge in the UK?

Yes, the Department for Transport gives local authorities the power to authorise the use of non European disabled parking badges within their county.

Hampshire County Council allows the use of non EU parking badges.
