What is an organisation/institution blue badge?
This is a blue badge issued to organisations/institutions who transport disabled people who, if they applied for a badge as individuals, would qualify in their own right.
Who can apply for a organisation/institution blue badge?
A senior representative of the organsiation/institution may apply on behalf of their organsiation/institution.
How do I apply for a Blue Badge for my organisation/institution?
You need to complete a blue badge application form.
Where do I get an application form?
Is there a limit to the number of badges my organisation/institution can have?
Yes, it will depend on the type of organisation/institution you are and the disabilities of the people you transport.
We have more than one vehicle can we have a blue badge for each of them?
It depends, the number you have will be based on the type of vehicle ie:
- whether it is converted for wheelchair use, and
- the number of people to be transported
Can we use a blue badge that has been issued to an individual who we will be transporting?
Yes, it is actually preferable that, where possible, organisations/institutions use the badge of an individual who they are transporting.
What happens when you receive my organisation/institution application?
On receipt of your application it will be checked and the regulations applied to the circumstances of your organisation/institution.
