We are here to help

There is always an experienced member of staff available who will be pleased to help with your enquiry whether you telephone or visit.

  • We will give you clear information about how the Blue Badge Scheme works

  • You will be given the name of the person dealing with your application - they will be pleased to help

  • Customer service is by telephone available from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday to Friday & 9.30am to 4 pm on Saturday Please call  0845 603 5638

  • We answer telephone calls within four rings

  • You can visit our office in Winchester - you are welcome to drop in or make an appointment

  • Our Blue Badge office is open for visits between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Friday. We are closed weekends and public holidays

  • You can email or fax us at any time.

Processing your application

In Hampshire we process approx 20,000 Blue Badge applications per year. Therefore to avoid delays we regret that we are unable to acknowledge receipt of application forms.

However for your information the time frames are normally:-

Re-applications

  • You will receive your new badge two to three days before the old one expires

New Applications

  • If you are applying for the first time or if you hold a blue badge from another authority, your application will be processed within 14 days unless we require additional evidence on eligibility from yourself, your Doctor or medical specialist.

  • If you have an automatic entitlement to a Blue Badge we will issue a badge within seven working days of the processing of your application

  • If you have to be assessed for a badge we will issue one within seven working days of receipt of all relevant information and evidence

Inviting customer comment

  • We use customer suggestions and comments to improve our service

  • We consult our customers regularly to monitor our service
