Local Enterprise Partnerships
Local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) provide strategic leadership for economic renewal, working across the public and private sectors to tackle economic issues such as transport, skills and enterprise.
Hampshire is covered by two Local Enterprise Partnerships:
- Solent (covering Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Portsmouth, Southampton and Isle of Wight) and
- Enterprise M3 (covering Basingstoke and Deane, East Hampshire, Hart, New Forest, Rushmoor, Test Valley and Winchester, along with Guildford, Surrey Heath, Waverley and Woking in Surrey.)
For the economy of Hampshire as a whole to prosper, a range of issues will need to be addressed at different levels, working through more local partnerships and linkages. In addition, we will need, at times, to work across the Hampshire Wiltshire Dorset boundaries and with other adjacent areas including West Sussex, Surrey and the Thames Valley. Flexibility and the recognition of cross-border interdependencies will be key to a prosperous economy for Hampshire.
