Assessing the Hampshire Economy
The 2011 Hampshire Economic Assessment has now been finalised and published. The Assessment, which was put together by Hampshire County Council and consultants SQW with support from a number of key stakeholders in the county, provides a comprehensive picture of local economic conditions and outlines some of the future challenges for the county’s economy. Alongside the main Assessment document, we have produced an Executive Summary which provides a brief overview plus two supplementary documents: an Extended Evidence paper which is a more detailed analysis of the data and a Worklessness Assessment which examines the issues for Hampshire’s labour market.
The Assessment will be regularly updated as data becaomes available and we will be working to expand the evidence base of the work. Next year, we will be augmenting the current data with qualitative data from the business community and a significant refresh is planned for 2013 when census data becomes available.
