Lithophane, porcelain, unglazed, circular, in an embossed copper frame, showing the Madonna with Christ and John the Baptist as infants after a painting by Raphael; faint mark 'AdT' and relief-moulded pattern number 338 followed by a star on rim, made in the factory of Baron Alexis du Tremblay, Montreuil, Paris, France, c1830-1850.

The source is the 'Madonna della Sedia' tondo in the Pitti Palace, Florence, painted by Raphael 1512-1514.
