Support for grandparents
Families can be reliant on grandparents and other relatives to care for their children in order to work, attend appointments, go to college, spend time with other siblings or just have some ‘time out’.
Like any carer, grandparents from time to time need some guidance or support. Below are some links to helplines and websites that might be useful. (Please note that Hampshire County Council does not specifically recommend or endorse these organisations.)

Grandparents looking after children while the parents work will be able to get National Insurance credits towards their basic State Pension.
