Early Years Education Cost Capturing Survey
Due to the current situation regarding possible changes to Early Years funding from central Government, it is important that the local authority has as much information as possible with regards to costs within childcare settings. This will enable SfYC to have a better understanding of how the current EYSFF rates support early years education provision; and also to ascertain if there are potential gaps in funding which need to be reviewed as part of the ongoing process of ensuring the EYSFF remains 'fair and transparent' for all providers. In order to try and analyse these various costs, a Cost Capturing Template (CCT) has been developed in order to fully appreciate, and compare the costs associated with the running of early years settings across the differing provider types within the maintained/school, private, voluntary and independent sectors. To fully understand the current provider costs, it is important that we have as many CCTs returned as possible. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you could take the time to download the CCT spreadsheet and complete it as appropriate. Please download the CCT guidance notes 27 kB and CCT template 67 kB to complete. The deadline for completion and return of the CCT is Friday 13 November 2015. Any queries can be directed to Karl Murphy-Barnes in the Education Funding Team within Hampshire County Council, either via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 01962 832393. Analysis will be undertaken once the CCT's have been returned, and this information will help inform the local authority with future budget planning and EYSFF methodologies. PLEASE NOTE - this survey is now closed. Providers who would like to discuss this further, please contact your area Childcare Development and Business Officer.
