Connect, Reflect and Grow (CRG) Training Programme

CRG is an intervention where practitioners are guided to reflect on video clips of their own successful interactions. Analysing clips helps to slow the process down and identify when children initiate behaviours.

Thomas Training

This 3 day course aims to develop practitioners' and parents' understanding of social communication/autism spectrum conditions and so improve the educational and early years experience of Hampshire children with these conditions. Pricing information
  • Limited number of paid places for Special Schools - £175.00 per person
  • Limited number of places for agencies other than Hampshire Children's Services and those living or working outside Hampshire - £250 per person
  • Limited number of places for parents - £60 per person
  • Places are free to practitioners working within the Early Years foundation stage eg setting SENCos or any member of staff who has been recommended or advised to attend by their SfYC Area InCo. Free places are limited to two per setting

Makaton Training

Makaton is a language programme using signs and symbols to help people communicate. It is designed to support spoken language and signs and symbols are used with speech. Services for Young Children have a bank of Regional Makaton tutors who may be able to come into your setting and provide you with a range of Makatan training including Taster Sessions. This is a one and a half hour training event delivered to your whole staff team.
