Services for Young Children

SENCo Induction

This is part of the core training - You do not need a subscription place to attend this training.

This course provides practical information about the role of the SENCo and the policies and procedures that SENCos need to help them meet the needs of SEN children in their setting. Learners will further increase their knowledge of the SENCo role and responsibilities by developing and understanding of a range of children's special educational needs and ways to meet those needs. Emphasis will be placed on developing a positive relationship with parents who are encouraged to become a part of the planning. It will also provide a framework for liaising effectively with schools.

Delegates are requested to print chapter 5 from the SEND Code of Practice January 2015 and bring it to the training.

Who is eligible? Early Years provider SENCos for settings, trainee SENCos and key inclusion staff.
