Thomas Training

To develop and improve the educational and early years experience of Hampshire children with complex social communication difficulties/autism spectrum conditions.

This three day course offers a balance of theoretical perspectives and practical approaches including:

  • the nature of autism spectrum difficulties

  • structured approaches to learning and living

  • behavioural approaches to skill teaching

  • developing communication

  • behaviour management

  • the development of play


Who is eligible? SENCos, trainee SENCos or key inclusion staff working in PVI early years settings. If you are currently living or working with under 5's with autism spectrum difficulties, you may be able to purchase places on this course through our Professional Options webpage.

Pricing information
Please note this is not part of the SfYC subscription package. A certain number of spaces are reserved for non EYE funded early years staff, school staff, other professionals and parents. Details can be found on our Professional Options webpage (see above).
