Fluctuating Conductive Hearing Loss: Improving the Listening and Language Environment
A course suitable for all practitioners with young children who may be suffering from fluctutating hearing loss (including glue ear). Inclusive strategies that will be beneficial to all children.

Vision Impaired Training
Visual Impairment Course - Awareness raising of common eye conditions in the pre school setting.
This half day course will cover:
How the eye works, common eye conditions amongst children in the pre school setting (refractive problems, squints and monocular vision), visual skills and the development of seeing, how to spot a child with visual problems, care of patches and spectacles, sources of practical help and what to do next. The course is delivered by a teacher adviser for visual impairment and includes practical activities to simulate poor vision. The course will help setting staff notice children struggling with their vision. Please note that this course is suitable for staff working with children with the more common and mild visual conditions mentioned above. If you have a child in your setting with a more severe visual impairment who has been referred to the specialist teacher advisory service, please contact your teacher adviser who will provide bespoke training to setting staff.
