Who are educational psychologists (EPs)?

Educational psychologists (EPs) have degrees in psychology - the study of how people think, feel and develop. EPs have worked as teachers and have further qualifications in educational psychology, which is the practical application of psychology to children and schools.

In Hampshire County Council's Children's Services Department, educational psychologists work within an area served by a specific group of schools. There is one educational psychologist for about every 5,000 school age children.
