Making History - Hampshire Youth Parliament at the House of Commons
Six Hampshire members of the UK Youth Parliament made their mark by taking part in an historic event on Friday 30 October 2009 when they sat on the green benches in the House of Commons and debated the issues that matter to young people from across the UK. It was the first time that anyone other than MPs have been allowed to debate in the chamber and, in a reversal of roles, MPs were able to watch from the public galleries.
