Staying safe
When you are out and about remember to stay safe and streetwise:
- Use a nickname on internet chat rooms - never give your real name or address
- To meet someone you’ve met online, do so in a public place and take a friend.
- Don’t confront gangs.
- Don’t get involved in incidents – you may get hurt. Alert the police and be prepared to be a witness
- In pubs and clubs don’t leave your drinks unattended – ask a trusted friend to guard your glass if necessary.
There’s information about drink, drugs, bullying and safe sex on this site – check them out too.
