Youth Voice – Get involved
Are you interested in having your say about your local community and getting involved in decision making?
Do you want to have your opinions taken into account when decisions are made about issues that affect you?
Youth Voice is the name we give to all of the different ways in which you can give your views and thoughts on the services and issues that affect you and your friends. It is about giving you the opportunity to get your views across to people in power and making sure that your views are heard locally, regionally and nationally.
Hampshire County Council recognises the value of involving young people in decision making and we genuinely want to hear what you’ve got to say.
There are lots of ways you can get involved at a local, regional and national level. These include:
Locally based youth councils and forums:
Care ambassadors (known elsewhere as Children in Care Council)
Local Children’s Partnership Young People’s Advisory Groups
Youth forum for disabled young people – this is a new group being set up and we are looking for members. You can find out more or sign yourself up by attending the next Hampshire County Youth Conference
Get involved in the commissioning of youth services in your area – your feedback helps us to develop better services. Your involvement doesn’t have to end there, you can also be involved in the assessment and auditing of services
