Chesil Youth Theatre

Two Youth Theatres meet weekly during the Autumn and Spring terms. The Senior Group (School Years 8-13) meet on Mondays and the Juniors (Years 4-7) on Wednesdays. They cover all kinds of theatre skills and are often involved in our main productions too.  It’s an opportunity to make new friends and learn to become part of the company whilst working on annual performances.

J's is a social group for young people aged 10 - 19 years old who would like to build their confidence or need additional support to engage in activities.  At J’s young people have an opportunity to socialise with other young people in a relaxed and youth friendly setting, they have access to youth club equipment such as pool table, table tennis, wii and PSP but we also encourage and support the young people to get involved in projects that take place over a number of weeks such as drama workshops, graffiti and creative writing projects.

(Young People aged 11+) KAYAC is committed to offering and delivering a wide range of activities to children and young people in the Winnall area of Winchester. The organisation has been active in the area for over 60 years and is managed by a board of trustees made up of local people.  The Centre currently operates open access youth sessions for young people aged 8- 17 most of who live in Winnall and Highcliff areas of Winchester.  Currently sessions are very well attended by young people of all ages. Sessions are sub-divided into age groupings, this is so activities can be targeted to enable young people to participate and enjoy their leisure time in a way which best suits their needs.  The programme currently runs twice a week in the evenings, and during the school holidays.

ParkSide is our new Youth Project offering activities, advice and guidance and a place to chill out, meet new people and learn new skills. Working with Groundwork South we deliver Tuesday night drop-in from 6pm-8.30pm and detached outreach on Mondays and Saturdays from 6pm-9pm.Aimed at 11-19 year olds our free Tuesday night drop-in offers fun and motivating activities, games, arts and crafts, and cooking as well as jobs and careers advice, housing and substance misuse support, and sexual health advice. Southampton Canoe Club

Southampton Canoe Club is based on the River Itchen at St Denys Community Centre.
