A number of teams within Hampshire County Council’s Children’s Services Department provide services to young people aged 13–19. Support can extend from 11–25 in certain circumstances. The following teams are included, and are represented on YouthTube:
Youth Support Services: Works in partnership with the voluntary and independent sector to provide a range of youth provision, early intervention and preventive work for young people. Youth teams also support young people leaving care at age 18.
Hampshire Careers and Employment Service: Provides careers information, advice and guidance to young people, and is a service that schools can purchase.
Participation Team: Promotes and supports young people’s participation in the decision making processes, including UK Youth Parliament and the Care Council.
Health and Wellbeing Team: Promotes and supports work which specifically benefits young people’s health and wellbeing.
Commissioning Team: Supports commissioning of youth support services to the voluntary and independent sector to provide services on behalf of the Local Authority.
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award: Supports young people to achieve the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Youth Offending Team: Works within the Criminal Justice System to prevent offending behaviour by young people aged 10 – 17.
