Information for carers
These laptops were purchased using Home Access to Targeted Groups (HATG) funding. This was an initiative funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF). The programme provided computers and broadband internet access to eligible young people to enhance their learning.
Laptops were issued to young people in foster care, and those who are leaving care but still in education. We have included in these groups young people with care orders placed in their own homes, and young people from Hampshire placed with Independent Fostering Agencies.
Stay Safe Online
Here are some resources to help young people learn about the dangers of the internet and how to stay safe. Some of the videos may not be suitable for younger children and you may like to watch them first to decide which ones would be helpful for the child in your care. Additionally, below are some videos for carers that are specifically for adults.
