About the Hampshire Family Information Directory (FID)
What is the Hampshire Family Information Directory (FID)?
It provides a comprehensive range of service information for families, young people and practitioners across the county.
What if I have information for the directory?
We want to ensure that the Hampshire FID contains the most comprehensive range of information and services for families, young people and practitioners. Therefore, if you hold information about services for families that are not already in the Directory, please use our add a service page.
Further background information
Section 12 of the Childcare Act (2006)
The development of the Hampshire FID is required by Section 12 of the Childcare Act (2006). The Act extends local authorities' existing duty to provide information to the public on childcare and related services. In addition to information on childcare, local authorities are required to provide a range of information (prescribed by regulations) which parents may need to support their children through to their twentieth birthday.
Hampshire Family Information Directory gratefully acknowledges the help and support of e.VOLve by allowing us to use their service information.
