Volunteering for the YOT
If you are looking to volunteer and have an interest in working with young offenders and victims with an aim of preventing re-offending, then we may have an appropriate role for you.
Hampshire YOT volunteering roles will suit you if you’re flexible, interested in supporting young people who have offended (some of whom can be challenging at times) and if you want to make a difference in your community.
Our volunteers provide varied support to young people who are on court orders and their victims. This may be by either sitting as a panel member on a referral order panel, participating in or facilitating a restorative justice conference or even assisting young people carrying out their ‘reparation’ on placements in the community.
An initial full programme of training is offered to our volunteers to ensure that they are equipped with the appropriate skills. We also provide volunteers with ongoing refresher training, regular feedback and annual appraisal interviews
We are currently looking for volunteers in the North East of Hampshire and the New Forest in particular.
