Do you qualify for free transport to school?
Your child will qualify for free transport from near your home to school, if they attend the catchment school or one that is nearer to your home, and the distance (measured by the shortest available walking route) is more than three miles. If your child is entitled to free school meals or you receive the maximum level of Working Tax Credit, the County Council will arrange free school transport to any one of the three nearest suitable schools, where the distance travelled is more than 2 miles but not more than 6 miles from home.
