Gather information about the schools
Once you know which schools are near you, visit the schools websites for information or for contact details to request a school prospectus. The prospectus is a useful source of information including the admissions policy, times of the school day, uniform policy, curriculum, specialisms, a statement about ethos and values, the school’s special educational needs policy, pupil absence rates – and much more!. Secondary schools also have to include information about examination results and where pupils go after they leave school.
