Hampshire in Partnership

Hampshire County Council has been a leader on climate change for many years. The County Council recognises the scale of the challenge that climate change poses and works with a number of partners across the public, private and third sectors on a range of both adaptation and mitigation projects. Currently taking priority are the development of a Hampshire-wide 'Adaptation Action Plan' and Hampshire-wide Climate Change Partnership.

Adaptation Projects

The County Council has been involved in groundbreaking EU projects such as:

• ESPACE which looked at the need to incorporate adaptation into spatial planning systems.
• BRANCH which looked at spatial planning to allow biodiversity to adapt to climate change.
