Member and Chief Officer Workshop on Climate Change (20th September 2010)

Building on the outcomes of the March event, a Leader and Chief Executive Workshop was held on the 20th September 2010. This event was a key milestone in the Hampshire-wide Climate Change Vision and Strategy work programme in the lead up to the Summit on the 9th December 2010.

This event provided Leaders and Chief Executives with the opportunity to prioritise measures for collaborative work by the Partnership and to provide their  input into the development of the 'Vision' which will frame the measures that the Partnership chooses to take forward.

The event was a success and received high level, Executive Member / Chief Officer involvement from all the local authorities across Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton and the wider public sector group.

Leader and Chief Executive Climate Change Summit (9th December 2010)

Building on the outcomes of the Leader and Chief Executive Workshop on 20th September 2010, the Summit was a key decision-making event that provided a clear direction of travel for the next steps of this work. The Partners unanimously signed up to the Hampshire-wide Partnership. This was an important milestone for the Partnership, and was the official launch of the Hampshire-wide Partnership and a clear commitment from its members to tackle climate change as a Partnership.

Partners also agreed on the delivery models that best suited their needs and on a mix of the three measures to be taken forward for business case development.
