Contribution from Hampshire County Council £530,000 of which the Coastal Capital Budget contributed £24000

This project was a partnership with New Forest District council, Hythe and Dibden Parish Councils. It involved improvements to the Promenade including inserting a new board walk and creating a landscaped public arena for local events.

The scheme won two awards for design:

The Local Government LGM Design Award in 2007

The Civic Trust Award Commendation in 2008
