New Age Kurling

New Age Kurling is an indoor team sport that can be played on any smooth floor surface. It is a form of the game of Curling but no ice in sight! The game allows able bodied and disabled, young and old alike to compete on an even level. It has become so popular that it is played in forty seven countries worldwide.

The tactical game is played using stones on weighted ball bearings and two teams take it in turns to slide the stones down towards a target. The game is scored over various ends. The kit is easy to transport and set up and includes pushers and ramps to help those with a disability. It's a fun and easy game to play, good exercise and enjoyed by all ages.

What can the Community Support Service offer your Centre? We have a kit and a member of staff willing to carry out a taster session at your Centre. We will teach and train you to deliver the game yourself. If you would like to buy the kit and develop the activity at your Centre then we can advise and help you.

We hope to encourage a number of Centres to play the game and organise an annual Festival
