National award for One Compact for Hampshire & Phoenix Theatre

The One Compact for Hampshire has been awarded a national commendation, jointly with the Phoenix Theatre Company, in the category for Compact promotion, proofing and awareness by the NCVO. The award recognises the innovative approach to raising awareness of Compact issues through the production of the 'Volunteer Vera' dvd and associated workshop support. 'Volunteer Vera' tells the story of a small voluntary group grappling with the complexities of applying for a grant to help them comply with new legislation requiring them to install some new loos!
