Unlike instant messaging, Skype focuses on advertising its video calling where as the other two focus more on the instant text messaging.

With Skype you can:

  • call land lines and mobiles
  • call other PCs free of charge
  • instant messaging
  • file transfers
  • send SMS text messages through skype
  • have your own personalised voicemail
  • conference calls.
 

How to get Skype:

  1. Go to www.skype.com*

  2. select Download Skype
    Download Skype

  3. then follow the instructions.
