What is a webcam?
A web camera (webcam for short) is a device that is attached to a computer and records or sends live pictures and video across the Internet.
Today there are millions of webcams that provide views into homes, offices and other buildings as well as providing panoramic views of cities and the countryside.
Where can you get one?
You can purchase web cameras for your computer in most computer hardware shops and if there isn’t one near you then you are able to purchase them off the Internet and have it delivered to your door step.
They vary in price depending on the make and model, but can be purchased for as little as £10.00 for home use.
