Adventure Sport

Within the grounds of Queen Elizabeth Country Park there are some fantastic adventure sports for people and groups of all ages.

  • hang gliding

    Paragliding/ Hang gliding

    Butser is ideal for flying. The Sky-Surfers Club oversees all activity

    It provides informal coaching for pilots that have achieved the Club Pilot’s certificate with a professional school to advance their skills.  The club is a member Club of the national body – the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA).


  • orienteering

    Wayfaring and orienteering

    The forest course caters for a range of abilities with up to twenty posts to find with a choice of either easy/medium or hard. A leaflet, with a map and guidance notes, is available from the visitor centre.


  • model gliding

    Model Gliding

    The Meon Valley Soaring Club operates on Butser Hill (non powered models only). We welcome new members and have an active policy of promoting safe and proficient flying.

    Off road driver training
