Work Experience at Staunton

Work experience is aimed at students wishing to develop their skills in a particular area on a short term basis, for example those who are studying, about to study or those wishing to change their career.  Work placements work alongside a team Monday-Friday for a set amount of time, anywhere between 2 weeks and 3 months.

Staunton Country Park offers a unique opportunity to school, college and university students aged 14 and upwards.

At Staunton there are over 1,000 acres of parkland, tropical glasshouses, formal gardens and an ornamental farm which provide diverse opportunities for work experience.

We offer secondary school placements to students attending local schools within the Havant, Waterlooville and Hayling area. Placements are for general assistants which involve working alongside each of our teams over a two week period.

Post 16 placements work alongside the team most relevant to the student’s course.

All students must undertake a minimum of two weeks placement.

For students who enjoy their placement our volunteer scheme is open to anyone over the age of 16 and offers an opportunity for further experience.
